Activités
As Staff Assistant (Contractor) to the Technical Department, you will be responsible for providing daily secretarial support for the Technical Manager, Process Support Engineers, Project Engineers, Information Systems Personnel, Inspection team and sometimes the Lab group.



Duties could include, but are not limited to:

Compile, publish, and store various reports on the WEB.
Contact potential employees to arrange trips and schedule interviews throughout the year for the Technical Department groups.
Coordinate travel and hotel accommodations for European visitors.
Register and arrange travel/accommodations for training and seminar trips for the Technical Manager and his Department.
Contact off-site areas to arrange Technical Committee meetings, HAZOPs, and luncheons.
Maintain department’s office supply stock and printer supplies.
Assists General Manager – Refinery’s Staff Assistant
Contact potential employees and coordinate multiple schedules to ensure a thorough interview. Arrange travel and overnight
accommodations.
Edit routine monthly reports for accuracy, format, and WEB-site storage in a timely manner.
Support Technical Manager, Project Engineers, Process Support Engineers, Inspectors, Information System’s personnel (59+ employees)
with daily secretarial assistance, (copy work, faxes, filing, Federal Express mail outs, daily mail, bid letters, area reports, assigning and
participation in monthly safety meetings, providing lunches for various meetings, etc.).
Arrange travel, hotel, and seminar registration for Technical Manager, Project Engineers, Process Support Engineers, Inspectors, and
Information Systems personnel.
Use and account for CPC spending (recruiting, training, office supplies, employee relations).
Audit expense reports for Technical Manager and his department


Profil du candidat
As one of TotalEnergies' six refining and petrochemicals platforms worldwide, the Port Arthur Platform has a daily processing capacity of over 200,000 barrels per day and is our largest facility in the United States. The refinery can process heavy crude oil as well as lighter domestic crudes. It also has a dedicated unit to produce low-sulfur fuels, which reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We own a steam cracker in a joint venture with BASF that can transform a wide range of feedstocks such as ethane, propane, butane and naphtha into ethylene, propylene, butadiene, and other chemical raw materials.

Experience:

Two years college education/university education preferred. Minimum of a Secretarial/Business Certificate.
7 to 10 years secretarial experience required


Skills:

Computer software, Engineering jargon, Accounting/Office Equipment skills,
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Front Page, Explorer, Excel, SAP, Internet, Scanning
Foreign Language skills would be extremely helpful when communicating with TOTAL personnel.
May have to work after hours to manage the Technical Committee meetings that are held each quarter.
